The Northside Skatepark Project

Support the Northside Skate Park!

Did you know Skateboarding is currently the 3rd most popular sport in the United States for kids 8-18 years old? Similar to many areas of the country, Southern Ohio has active skateboarders of all ages.

Our intention is not to just build a skate park, but a place where people will want to go to enjoy their community and be involved. A place where you can go and relax, paint, draw, read, bike, bring your

dog to the possibility of a Dog park and get to know the incredible people of Northside.

Building a skate park is a healthy alternative to drugs and violence and it gives families a chance to get outside and into the fresh air.

Building a skatepark is an opportunity for the City of Cincinnati within the community of Northside to demonstrate dedication to its youth and show support for a proven healthy alternative to other organized sports.

It is true, that when people are out of their homes working together in the community, involved with purpose, this alone will greatly reduce crime.

Building skateparks in any location deters all forms of crime for obvious reasons. The more people who can see crime occur, the more uncomfortable it will be to commit a crime. The more we report crime, the less it happens. The more that families are involved in with their kids, the less likely crime will occur. The bottom line is, it is up to us, to set the standards for our youth, and it is up to us to mentor and set the right examples for those who need a mentor.

Takes a community to raise a family.

With any facility it is up to the community to work together and develop working relationships with each other in a unified endeavor of keeping our community clean and healthy.

Nothing is ever maintenance free and everything requires tender loving care. We believe if we incorporate the entire communities needs around a skate facility, it will be easily maintained, constantly overseen and will be a great place for our local residents to get outside, ride a bike around the path, have a cook out, and develop good family, and community values.

We have a great community of young and old skaters who are dedicated in working together in making Northside Skatepark a pleasant, safe, and relaxing place for everyone. You can help us, by volunteering, purchasing our T shirts and by donating money to help us build our community!
